About Malcolm Gabriel

Malcolm Gabriel is the Founder and Principal of Catalyst Insights Group. He brings more than two decades of senior leadership experience in large, complex enterprises. He most recently served as Staff Vice President, Human Resources at Elevance Health (formerly Anthem), where he supported the

Malcolm Gabriel is the Founder and Principal of Catalyst Insights Group. He brings more than two decades of senior leadership experience in large, complex enterprises. He most recently served as Staff Vice President, Human Resources at Elevance Health (formerly Anthem), where he supported the Medicare and Medicaid business units and led large-scale organizational transformation, operating model redesign, and leadership initiatives in a Fortune 20 company.


Previously, he was Global Leader (Director), Culture & Inclusion at Corteva Agriscience, partnering with executive leadership to strengthen organizational health, leadership capability, and enterprise-wide culture strategy in a Fortune 200 global organization. 


Earlier in his career, Malcolm served as Director, Global Talent Management at Novelis, where he focused on leadership assessment, high-potential development, and global talent systems in a complex $15B global manufacturing company.


Prior to this, Malcolm held numerous HR and Talent / Org Developments leadership roles across diverse industries, including Post Foods, Dana Corporation, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Bell Canada, and Biovail Pharmaceuticals.


In addition to his executive experience, Malcolm brings deep academic rigor to his work. He is completing a PhD in Business Psychology, with doctoral research focused on how middle managers experience and lead transformational change. He also holds an MBA and a master’s degree in Industrial–Organizational Psychology.


Malcolm has a strong network of trusted content and delivery partners. Through these relationships, we bring clients the right expertise—along with access to a wide range of proven tools and solutions—when and where it’s needed.


Outside of his professional work, Malcolm is also a competitive pickleball player, having won multiple national tournaments in both singles and doubles—an experience that reinforces his appreciation for discipline, adaptability, and sustained performance under pressure.
